In general, it’s perfect place for staying in Edinburgh. Fantastic location for Edinburgh, it's close enough to a beautiful area of Edinburgh, The Royal Mile, New Town, shops and restaurants, and shops, food and drink in New town. I liked the place.

My recent stay at Royal Bolthole was absolutely perfect! The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with super comfy beds, nice bathrooms, and a modern kitchen with a dining area. The location was also ideal - a quiet street, yet just a short walk from the bustling center. The personal touches, like fresh milk in the fridge and shortbread on the side, made the experience even more delightful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Heating was not sorted and the toilet ran water all night, affecting our sleep.

The main toilet was not flushing from the moment we arrived and we couldn't get a hold of anyone to address the issue. Sharing one ensuite between three adults was inconvenient, especially during the night.
